The assembly status depends on the selected product and approved order specification. Confirm whether each fence section or gate is supplied as an assembled unit, a welded assembly, a partially assembled kit or separate components before ordering.
Wonderful Metal offers custom aluminum fence and gate project supply. Specify the required delivery format in your RFQ so factory work, site installation, hardware and packing can be coordinated. Do not assume every style arrives fully welded or in a standard six-foot section.
Pre-Assembled Is Not the Same as Fully Installed

These are procurement formats to discuss, not a claim that every format is available for every Wonderful Metal model. A mechanically assembled panel can be pre-assembled without being welded.
Fence Sections: Confirm the Exact Delivery Format

Identify the frame, rails, infill, caps, connectors and retaining fasteners. Show whether posts and brackets are packed separately and which joints are completed at the factory.
Pre-assembly can reduce repetitive site tasks, but posts, foundations, layout, clearances and final fastening still need installation.
Gates: Separate the Leaf from the Installed Gate System
For Aluminiumtore, confirm whether the leaf includes its frame and infill, which joints are welded, and which components are supplied loose.
- Hinges, latch or lock, handles and mounting plates.
- Gate posts, stops, drop bolts and fixing hardware.

Swing gates und sliding gates require different site hardware and support arrangements. A completed leaf does not mean the full gate system is installed or ready to operate without adjustment.
Are All Fence Sections Six Feet Wide?
No single module should be assumed for the complete product range. Specify the selected panel width, height, mounting allowances and project tolerances.
Six feet is 1,828.8 mm; it is not exactly the same as a nominal 1,800 mm module. For imperial projects, show the actual required dimensions on the approved drawing.
Also distinguish panel width, clear opening between posts and post center-to-center spacing. Brackets, rail engagement and post size can change the layout module.
Factory Assembly vs Site Assembly: Compare the Full Scope
Factory assembly may reduce site labor and support consistent alignment. Larger completed units can also increase package volume and handling demands.
Component packing may reduce transport volume for designs suitable for that format, while adding assembly labor, tools and inspection requirements. Some welded or framed designs may not support a knock-down option.
Compare fabrication, packing, freight, unloading, storage and installation together. An assembled unit is not automatically the lowest-cost option for every destination.
Packing, Receiving & Handling Requirements
Request package dimensions and weights for the proposed assembly format. Confirm protection of coated surfaces, corners, protruding hardware and moving parts.
- Label panels, posts, gates and hardware against the approved schedule.
- Keep small parts identifiable by item number and connection type.
- Specify pallets, crates or other protection appropriate to the shipment.
- Confirm access, unloading equipment and storage conditions at delivery.
Inspect quantities, packing and visible damage at receipt, and report discrepancies with photos and order references. Do not infer lifting needs from aluminum’s lightweight reputation alone.
Quality Checks Before Dispatch
Agree on inspection criteria and drawing revisions before production. For assembled units, relevant checks may include overall dimensions, frame geometry, infill spacing, joint quality, coating condition and hardware preparation.
Where applicable, trial-fit interfaces or verify them against approved gauges and drawings. For kits, check the bill of materials, labels, fastener quantities and assembly instructions.
Factory inspection does not replace site verification of foundations, supports, installed openings or gate operation.
